Have you ever wondered how many licks it takes to get to the core of a giant jaw breaker? 1, 2, 3 crunch! The earth is in some ways like a giant jaw breaker. It is composed of several layers: the atmosphere, water, the crust, the mantle, and the core.
Extension: Make a poster, build a model, and/or write in your journal about what you have learned.

To reinforce this new knowledge, try the "Lets Build the Earth" activity on the next Sci-ber Text page.

Review science safety rules here.

Get the plug-ins: Get Adobe Acrobat Reader , and Get Quicktime Player. (The Quicktime plug-in is needed to play sounds and movies correctly.)
